Well Marcie ended up buying another camera for her self a while back. Since then she has been bit by the photography bug...taking some really cool pics. Well since our old camera was just as good as the day we bought it (and I like it tons better)...I decided to bring it along when we go out on my run on the weekends.
So here are some pics I snapped up. I like flowers although I hardly know the names of any of them. They just aren't that prevalant in the area up in our neck of the plateau. So...Im settling for anything else that catches my eye.
Here is Marcie sitting on a log on the Logan river...her feet were in the water and it was colder than she thought.
On the way back home via a shortcut, there is a very nice scenic outlook / rest area overlooking the valley below. I was looking for other pictures to take this past Saturday when on my way back to the truck I noticed the humming birds. I went and got the cam and started taking pics. My camera has a continuous shooting feature...holding down the button has the camera take about 2-3 pics a second until i stop. It ends up giving you a ton of pictures to sort through but you can find some really good ones too.
One of a few windfarms in western WY. The CO mountains to the south are pictured way off on the horizon.
This is the top of a hill on a set of hills called the Three Sisters in Western WY along I80. It doesn't look that bad in the pics but the inclines are pretty decent. This 20 or so mile stretch in the winter is often what closes I80 due to truck wrecks going down a hill or trucks getting stuck going up the hill.
This is the result of another continuous shot. This particular shot is up in the mountains on my shortcut home. Just weird how about 30 minutes from here the landscape turns into dry high desert with almost no green vegetation at all, compared to this.
I was stung a couple weeks back by some fuzzy yellow and red thing...don't think ive been stung before by a bee or hornet or any other stinging buzzer. hurt like heck too. Anywho...this was just after that previous picture. I saw a bee flying around and figured I'd try to snap a picture of it.
