The end of the weekend

11:30 here, should be sleeping but I took a nap earlier and dont feel tired yet.

This weekend was fun. Marcie and I ended up getting an award for the youngest riders to the rally and my bike won second place in the "GL1000-1100-1200 Stock-Custom-Show" category. That was a little tricky and I had to do some investigating because they didnt announce my name at the event, turns out there was a mix-up so we got it all figured out. I went up against a few other bikes, not too sure how many were in my category. A friend of mine was there with his 1976 limited edition GL1000. Only 2000 of those were made, very valuable and rare, especially finding one that still runs. He has his all decked out with chrome, lights and all the bells and whistles. Ive ridden it and it runs surprisingly much smoother than my own 1000....same model. That is his "dresser / show " bike...wins awards with it. A local honda dealer has another one of the LTD's...no oil has ever been in the motor...only I think 10 miles are on the odometer from pushing it in and out of bike shows....very mint condition.

On the bad side, Marcie and I didnt have time to get out and do anything on our own. We got there Thursday night and just vegged out. Friday was filled with going to the rally and working for a few hours along with going to a seminar and seeing the vendors. Saturday had us working raffle tickets, doing the bike show, and going to dinner. To me, I know we werent busy all the time, but we just didnt have enough time to spend some time together on our own. We were hoping to see the area a little bit and take some tours of the Schawns company, but that didnt happen either.
