I feel bad for my recruiter.
Over the past two weeks, I have been going back and forth with my recruiter with the company I signed up with and she has been doing a great job of getting things squared away for me. She has helped tremendously with getting things resolves as well as getting back to me quickly to let me know how things are progressing.

One issue arose last Wednesday or so. I got a phone call saying a ticket of mine from NV was cleared in NV, but MN was still reporting it as pending. Going back and forth all day long with a bunch of different people, I was finally able to resolve the situation...at least for the trucking company. Somehow it is still showing up on my driving record, even though the individual states I have had a license in show no ticket issue on their end.

Yesterday she called me to give me a confirmation number for a greyhound ticket. She said I was scheduled to leave my old town (for some odd reason) on Thursday. Well my old town is a bit of a drive from here and considering my current lack of funds, this makes it even more impossible. The gal at the bus station refused to let me get on the bus here in this town...even though the same exact bus will be going to my old town. I called my company back, let them know, and they couldn't really resolve it because it was on greyhounds end. So I call greyhoudn and talk to a rep. This is where the confusion begins.

Right now...Im set to leave my old town in southern WY on Thursday and head out east to denver. From there, I will zip through the mountains and take a southwest approach and get to Claremont, CA. Have to head east in order to head west....lovely. No issue. A couple of one hour layovers here and there, no issue.

BUT, if I leave the town I live in now and get on that very same bus which then goes to my old town....somehow, according to the gal on the phone, it would result in a 24 hour layover somewhere. ????
I only take 2 busses all together. One to get me from here (or my old town) to Denver, and then another from Denver to Claremont, CA. She couldn't fix the ticket because of that 24hr layover that somehow pops up if I get on here.

This really doesn't make any sense and it didnt make sense to her either. So, trying to get a ticket that leaves here and goes to Claremont CA won't work because of the layover. HOWEVER, if I get a ticket that has me leaving here and going to Los Angeles and then getting off in Claremont...that will work!

Dispatchers lie. Didn't I tell you that?

Well yes, outside of the following, some of which you already know:
1. Dispatchers are not recruiters. Recruiters also do not work in departments that deal with travel arrangements for their drivers.
2. The problem was with Greyhound, not my company.
3. I won't have a dispatcher.
