The exact opposite...too many choices
Well this is weird. Marcie and I have been sending out a bunch of applications. For one position that I applied to, I got a rejection letter today saying 147 people had applied for that same spot. eek!
Marcie had one interview at a district and was one of about I believe 4 to be intereviewed...but the position went to another gal that already had experience in that district. We havent heard anything for bites for about a month...and then this week happened
Marcie managed to get three interviews lined up this week. One for WY (that same district she intereviewed at before), one for MN, and one for ND. Along with that, Ive been looking at trucking jobs and I think Roehl trucking is working on hiring me...I just need to get some tax paperwork from Las Vegas. They seem to have a great CDL school and I havent found much negative about them compared to other truck lines out there.
Then today, my mom sent me an email telling me about the local powerplant in my hometown is going to be hiring 3 people for a department that I worked at during the summer a few years back. I had a blast and it was one of my favorite jobs. I certainly wouldnt mind working there at all. Marcie has a concern because of the dust (its a coal power plant)...but they have masks to wear and the like. Plus that and they just got a huge new piece of equipment up and online this summer. I called right away and asked about it and the gal told me that they only had the posting open for internal for now...and later on will post for external. But with my experience working there...Im really pumped about that position.
Also..Marcie has a concern about where she would work. Right now, the city is about 14k people, but they opened up a Supercenter Wal Mart there about 6 years ago....and Lowes just opened up last fall...so the town is slowly growing. Plus that and there are other decent sized towns within a 45 minute drive or so.
Now comes the issue if we get hired somewhere...what to do. If Marcie gets hired or I get hired somewhere...one of us most likely will start without a job until we can find one.
Hmm, lots to think about.
