Well...now that Marcie is no longer posting on this site...I need to fill you guys in once in a while on what is going on with the wedding.

This past weekend, we looked at two jewelers for my ring. The first place had a decent selection, but nothing that really caught my eye.

I guess, Im picky. I like gold, yellow gold..etc; but I didnt want a ring that was ALL gold or yellow gold. I wanted a mixture, like gold and silver. I didnt want just a plain jane ring either, but I didnt want something that was like "hey, I grew up on the east side of Chi town so look at my bling." So, we went across the mall hallway and went to another jeweler. They had a much smaller collection, but they had a small collection of 6 rings that caught my eye. They were a style called Tungsten, which I havent heard of too much before. The style that caught my eye is made up of brushed tungsten (dark silvery color) with a band of 18k gold in the middle. Each side of the ring is slightly cut and lowered...not sure how to describe that.

The only problem with the ring is that it cant be resized. We ordered it on Saturday or Sunday and it came in Yesterday on Thursday. We went in and checked it out. I liked it alot, but it is sized at 13, the largest it comes in. But, the ring is slightly too big. So, we are stuck in a sitaution where we don't know how much my hand will change during the summer. We ended up leaving it at the jeweler and will go back a few times to try the ring back on before making up my mind. I think that most likley we will have to get a new ring at a 12 or 12.5...but time will tell.

Here is a pic of the ring:

That is very beautiful. It has a nice simplicity that I think is way more beautiful than blinged out all over the place. A good choice, whether you end up getting it or not.

Simple, but still pretty (not the best word to describe a guy's ring, but it IS pretty).

btw, when I first saw the title, I thought, 'Wow...he's putting up a pic of the guys that are going to play at his wedding?' (Of course, it just made me seem all the more goofier to my b/f when I told him).
Oh, and pass along greeting to Marcie, too...hope she is well.
